I switched the cymbal and it isn't the wires. No matter which it was plugged into it would double hit.

It has become so frustrating that I can't even play and it happened when I am so broke that I can't afford the $35 pintech 10 inch cymbal as a replacement.

I got a new TV recently, with a pretty strange setup.

Here it is.
Westinghouse LD-4680
Radioshack branded composite switch box.
Xbox 360 plugged in Composite.

I know this is strange, but my xbox doesn't have HDMI, and my TV doesn't have component hookups. -_-

Anyway, I adjusted and adjusted my calibration, and it is spot on perfect. I can get 100% Expert Drums, Guitar, and Vox.

My problem is that if I turn up the Mic Volume, I have around .3 seconds of of lag between when the vocals register, and when they are sung. Things come up like this:

TV: Say it ain't so, I will not go, Turn the lights off, Carry me home
Me: ----Say it ain't so, I will not go, Turn the lights off, Carry me home

(EDIT: I feel this might be unclear, Me, coming out of the TV speakers, not my actual singing.)



This bothers me a lot. I know the main solution that gets thrown around a lot here is to just turn off the Mic Volume. I know this solves the issue, it's what I've been doing for the time being, but it really bothers me. I usually play with the Vocal track all the way down, and the mic volume all the way up. I can't do that if the singing isn't in tune with the rest of the song. It throws everybody who is playing off, including myself.

I allow 2 (MAYBE 3) of each instruments to fill in. My goal is to at least FBFC 1st over 600 songs. I need players who can also reply rapidly because I don't like having other band members waiting. Face it, its been boring trying to get a Full Band together while as a band we don't need much anymore. Oh one more thing, Pathing is going to be a main thing. I played with the original RB drum kit so I never had the option to play pro (although I am interested).

So looking online, I have a couple options to go for and wanted to know what the community thinks I should do.

1. Buy a brand new kit from MadCatz for $200. Seems steep for me but it is brand new (I'm a sucker for new)
2. Buy an ION Rocker for the same price new. Again steep but I keep reading the quality is way better than the RB kit.
3. Buy Beatles:Rock Band Premium Bundle for $240 new. This'll come with a guitar and mic, which would be pretty useful for parties. Plus I heard the drums are the RB2 kit with a different finish. I cant export Beatles rock band though so thats a negative for me.
4. Search around on craigslist for used kits at a low price. The only downside I see to this is, its used.

So guys, what should I do? I'm not really a drummer but I am interested in playing pro drums. Bought a MidiPro Adabter for my dtxplorer kit. It works fine light blinking and its werry cool :cool:

But my problem is that it stopps working the minnute i go in to rockband! It works perfectly fine. I can navigate around in the XBL menu with it. But the second i try to go in to rockband 3.. NADA!!

Dunno what to do now. tried everything now Have tried searching for the problem but no luck :(

I have rockband 3 and beatles, but my girlfriend really wants eye of the tiger (available on rb2), but I don't have rockband 2 and as far as i can tell it is not being made as new anymore. I could buy the game used but chances are that code has already been used by whoever initially owned it so I couldnt merge those songs into rb3, and would have to swap games just to play that one song when we wanted to.

Is there any other way to get.... even just that one specific song to be available on rb3 (doesnt appear to be available for dlc)

The set-list is going to sway more towards modern stuff which personally I'm not too keen on but offering classics too and a total of 88 songs. Some of which are returning artists from the predecessor!

My setlist for clarity purposes will list the Artist followed by the song/version and a youtube link to the song itself. The songs will be pretty much the same version as heard in the videos, although any suggestive or rude words would be omitted. Most songs will have key parts and Harmonies too, so will be an exactly addition into the main game.

I'll be honest, I only have one album of hers, her last, "We Are Born", but every track on it is brilliant, I have never seen such a thing before, it's like she can do no wrong on it.

The vocals will be kind of tough, but the songs would add a lot to the current collection, plus they would be very fun to play, as the music is great imo. The XBOX, 2 Mustangs, 2 Keyboards (one that I customized), MPA (also customized), Rock Band 3 drum set, 2 Rock Band 2 guitars and well pretty much everything I own was destroyed.

is there an existing or elegant DIY way of labeling my drums with the RB colors? I have the Roland HD-1 kit so all the toms and cymbals are black. I can play just fine but whenever friends want to play or my wife wants to try them, they find it very difficult not having colors...specially since the setup is not the same as the standard rock band drum set.

I'm thinking of getting colored tape and taping around the edges of the toms and then the tips of the cymbals but that's getting to ghetto territory i'd rather not have to get to.
